HSEQ Consultant Trainee

About the role

Join S & J Auditing & Consulting as an HSEQ Consultant Trainee, working hybrid in the Greater Perth Area. You will support clients in assessing operations, conducting health, safety, environmental and quality audits, and implementing ISO‑aligned Business Management Systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client processes and identify risks, improvement opportunities and compliance gaps.
• Conduct HSEQ audits and prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
• Develop and review policies, procedures and documentation to meet ISO standards.
• Provide training and guidance to client teams to embed best practices.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues and client stakeholders to ensure sustainable outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health.
• Expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in auditing, preferably within ISO Business Management Systems.
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent.
• Experience in HSEQ consulting, compliance or risk management in industrial or commercial settings.
• Ability to interpret standards and translate them into clear client guidance.
• Excellent analytical, report‑writing and communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
