HR Truck Driver – Cairns

About the role

Randstad is recruiting an experienced and reliable HR truck driver for a full-time contractor position based in Cairns, Far North Queensland. The driver operates HR tautliner trucks on routes from Cairns to Port Douglas, the Tablelands and Mission Beach, and is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods across the region. The role is hands-on and requires manual loading and unloading.

Key responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently drive HR tautliner trucks to destinations such as Port Douglas, the Tablelands and Mission Beach.
• Manually unload and deliver goods at each destination.
• Operate electronic pallet jacks as required.
• Follow all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Current and valid HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's licence (essential).
• Proven experience driving HR tautliner trucks.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to road rules.
• Excellent physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling consistently.
• Reliability, good work ethic and good communication skills.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, a police check and a physical assessment.
• Availability to work staggered shifts from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM, finishing between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Required skills
