HR Business Partner - Food Manufacturing Site

About the role

Miller Leith is recruiting a People & Capability Partner (HR Business Partner) for a large, well-established Australian food manufacturing business at one of its key manufacturing sites in the Bega Valley. The role owns the HR function on site and works directly with the Site Leader as their trusted people partner, with hands-on, visible work shaping culture and leadership capability.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to the Site Leader, helping shape the site's people agenda and priorities.
• Give practical, hands-on HR and employee relations / industrial relations advice to operational leaders.
• Manage workplace investigations, performance matters and complex employee issues from start to finish.
• Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements, Awards and employment legislation.
• Coach frontline leaders and build leadership capability across the site.
• Support workforce planning, engagement and labour management.
• Drive consistent HR processes and spend time building relationships on the factory floor.

Required profile

• A hands-on HR professional who enjoys operational environments and builds credibility quickly with leaders and employees.
• Ideally experience in a site-based HRBP or standalone HR role.
• Ideally experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, manufacturing, logistics or other operational industries.

Required skills

• Strong ER/IR knowledge, including running workplace investigations.
• Experience with Enterprise Agreements and blue-collar workforces.
• Confidence to influence, challenge and coach senior operational leaders.
