Housing Support Worker, Cobar

About the role

CatholicCare Wilcannia-Forbes is seeking a Housing Support Worker to join its Specialist Homelessness Service (SHS) Team in Cobar. The role provides early intervention and prevention, advocacy and case management to clients, with on-call roster support available if required. It is a full-time position on a maximum term contract until 25 June 2027; further funding may allow additional contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide early intervention and prevention support to clients
• Deliver advocacy and case management
• Support clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including those experiencing domestic violence
• Be available for on-call roster support

Required profile

• Understanding and knowledge of supporting clients experiencing homelessness and domestic violence
• Commitment to undertake on-call roster responsibilities
• Willingness to attend training and development opportunities
• Experience providing support under a case management framework
• Strong personal values and commitment to working within the ethos of a Catholic organisation
• Working With Children Check and a current NSW Police Check

What we offer

• Hourly rate starting from $41.66, depending on experience, skills and qualifications
• Salary packaging of up to $15,900 per year tax free
