Hotel Services Assistant (Housekeeping, Food Services and Laundry)

About the role

St Vincent's Care Corinda is looking for a Hotel Services Assistant / Environmental Services Assistant to join its team in Food Services, Laundry and Cleaning. The role supports high-quality cleaning outcomes for residents and customers of the aged care home, provides food services and helps residents choose their meals, while assisting the kitchen team to deliver quality meals on time in a hygienic, safe and operational kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality food services and support residents with their food choices so they feel valued, respected and engaged
• Assist the kitchen team to deliver quality meals in a timely manner
• Keep the kitchen hygienic, safe and operational, following the St Vincent's Care Services Policy on meals and dining
• Support residents with laundry, putting clothes away and general household tasks including cleaning
• Build trusting relationships with residents and make their living spaces homelike, respectful and safe

Required profile

• Certificate in Hospitality and Kitchen Management or another relevant qualification
• Relevant experience in a similar field; experience with dementia clients is an advantage
• Ability to work casual AM and PM shifts
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)

Required skills

• Housekeeping and food services experience, including meal preparation, presentation and distribution, café service and kitchen hygiene
• Attention to detail, strong communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of and adherence to the Aged Care Quality Standards and Food Safety standards
• Ability to follow directives as per the care plan
