Host - High-Volume Restaurant

About the role

Cibaria Noosa is looking for a confident, organised and experienced Host to join its Front of House team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will create a warm, welcoming and professional first impression while keeping service running smoothly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Immediate commencement is available.

Key responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for all guests and take ownership of reservations, seating plans and waitlists
• Monitor guest arrivals and table allocations, balancing service demands with the dining experience
• Handle guest enquiries, special requests and feedback, resolving issues professionally
• Maintain accurate reservation and guest information in the booking platform
• Communicate with the Restaurant Manager, Supervisors and the Front of House team about service needs, VIP guests and table availability
• Assist in coordinating large bookings, special events and peak service periods
• Manage guest expectations and wait times proactively
• Keep the host stand, entry areas and guest-facing spaces tidy and present
• Support the wider Front of House team and contribute to a positive team culture

Required profile

• Experience as a Host in a high-volume restaurant is a must
• A strong problem solver who stays calm under pressure
• Confident managing guest expectations in a busy restaurant
• Highly organised with excellent communication skills
• Able to work independently while supporting a positive team culture

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation systems
• SevenRooms experience highly regarded
