About the role
Mercy Health is hiring a Home Care Worker in Wellington, Sale, Maffra, Stratford and surrounding areas. This is a casual position within a dedicated service team that provides ongoing support to clients. The role centres on personal care, companionship and basic household tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Administer medication as prescribed
- Assist with mobility and exercises
- Monitor and report changes in health status to the healthcare team
Required profile
- Resilient, compassionate and committed to patient-centred care
- Current NDIS clearance and a driver's licence
- Current proof of influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with public health orders
