Home Care Support Worker

About the role

Care Connect is seeking Home Care Support Workers to help Australians stay independent, safe and connected in their own homes across the Northern Beaches and surrounding areas. The role involves travelling between clients' homes and may include taking clients to appointments or community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry
• Personal care and hygiene support
• Meal preparation and shopping assistance
• Medication reminders
• Mobility support and community access
• Social support and companionship

Required profile

• A current Australian driver's licence and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Availability to work at least three weekdays (Monday to Friday)
• Current Australian working rights
• First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain it before starting
• Current police check and Working with Children check (the employer can help with a police check)
• Qualification: Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or Home & Community Care, or a Bachelor or Diploma of Nursing (including students who have completed their first year); otherwise at least three months of paid care work experience
