Health Insurance Sales Consultant

About the role

Canstar Group is building a team of sales professionals to help everyday Australians find the right health insurance cover. As a Sales Consultant you will act as a trusted advisor to customers and share customer insights and feedback to help improve products and services. This is a full-time hybrid position based in either Brisbane or Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with prospective customers via inbound and outbound calls to understand their health insurance needs.
• Present and explain health insurance policy options clearly, including waiting periods, exclusions, limits and tiers.
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales and conversion targets.
• Follow Canstar's sales processes, compliance standards and the PHIIA Code of Conduct.
• Keep accurate records in the CRM and ensure customer interactions meet quality standards.
• Contribute positively to a high-performance, team-oriented culture.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in health insurance, with a proven track record of exceeding targets through a customer-first approach.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, able to simplify complex information with empathy and patience.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment.
• Desire to keep learning about changes to private health insurance products.

Required skills

• Desirable: experience in health insurance sales.
• Desirable: knowledge of the private health insurance sector and the PHIIA Code of Conduct.
• Desirable: ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes; interest in a career in financial services.
