Health and Physical Education Teacher (K‑10)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Health and Physical Education Teacher to join Boddington District High School on a six‑month fixed‑term, full‑time basis, commencing as soon as possible. The role covers Kindergarten to Year 10 and may lead to an extension or permanent appointment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess health and physical education programmes across primary and secondary year levels.
• Create an engaging, challenging and caring learning environment that supports the diverse needs of all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop evidence‑based teaching practices and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate outcomes to students, families and staff.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience in primary or secondary education, preferably in health, wellbeing or physical education.
• Student‑centred, enthusiastic and innovative, with a commitment to high expectations for every learner.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team and adapt to a country school environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of health and physical education curricula and assessment methods.
• Effective classroom management and instructional strategies backed by evidence‑based practice.
