Head Stockman - 2027 Season

About the role

All Stations is seeking experienced and dedicated Head Stockmen for the 2027 season. The role leads a stockcamp in managing day-to-day activities on the station, overseeing livestock health and welfare and ensuring efficient and effective stock management. It suits someone with strong leadership skills, extensive hands-on experience with livestock and a deep understanding of cattle management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team, providing guidance and training as needed
• Oversee livestock movement, feeding and breeding programs
• Keep facilities, fencing, water systems and equipment in good order
• Maintain a strong safety culture by following industry regulations, workplace safety standards and safe work behaviours

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar supervisory role
• Strong understanding of livestock health, behaviour, breeding and general station operations
• High standard of horsemanship and cattle management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead and coordinate with staff and management
