Head of Retail - Oceania

About the role

PUMA is seeking a commercially‑savvy Head of Retail for Oceania to own and evolve its store network across Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for delivering a premium in‑store experience, driving commercial performance and shaping the region’s Direct‑to‑Consumer strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the retail operating strategy for all stores, ensuring consistency, operational discipline and best‑in‑class consumer experience.
• Elevate service standards, visual merchandising and brand execution while maintaining compliance, loss prevention and efficiency.
• Partner with logistics, payments and service providers to optimise store operations.
• Lead, coach and develop a diverse retail leadership team, driving succession planning, capability uplift and talent retention.
• Shape commercial planning and merchandising strategy, collaborating on range planning, OTB and product assortment tailored to store profiles and market dynamics.
• Align seasonal retail marketing with the broader brand strategy and implement global visual standards with local relevance.

Required profile

• Proven senior retail leadership experience, preferably 10+ years, managing multi‑store networks in Australia and/or New Zealand.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sales and margin growth.
• Demonstrated ability to build high‑performing teams and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Strategic mindset with the capability to translate brand vision into operational execution.
