About the role

As Head of Content you will define the vision, standards and investment thesis for Canva’s content ecosystem over the next five years. You will lead the strategy that powers a library of more than 165 million templates, photos, fonts and stock media used by hundreds of millions of users each month.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the entire content production function, including in‑house creation, content strategy, insights, partnerships and the acquired brands Pixabay and Pexels.
• Own and articulate a long‑term content strategy that integrates AI‑driven creation, curation and scaling.
• Develop a truly local content strategy that resonates with audiences in every major market.
• Set a unified operating model with International and Marketing teams so global and local content teams plan and ship together.
• Represent content in executive and leadership forums, presenting strategy, results and investment cases.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multi‑team functions and driving strategic change in fast‑paced environments.
• Deep expertise in content strategy, creation and execution at scale, including social and short‑form ecosystems.
• Forward‑looking perspective on how AI reshapes content and ability to turn ideas into ship‑able initiatives.
• Strong commercial judgement, capable of building ROI cases and linking content to engagement, retention and revenue.
• Confidence presenting in senior executive forums and influencing cross‑functional partners.
