HCV Field Operations Consultant

About the role

FleetPartners, an ASX-listed provider of fleet leasing, fleet management and novated leasing across Australia and New Zealand, is hiring a Field Operations Consultant. You will work directly with diverse commercial fleets, travelling across NSW to inspect vehicles, support customers, audit maintenance programs and give practical technical advice. It is a highly autonomous role for a qualified heavy vehicle professional who enjoys getting out on the road.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain maintenance programs for large heavy commercial vehicle fleets
• Carry out fleet and workshop audits in line with those maintenance programs
• Handle build management and new vehicle inspections on all new HCV assets
• Act as escalation point for high-cost repairs, major failures and warranty disputes
• Act as subject matter expert for customer strategic reviews
• Raise and amend quotes as required

Required profile

• Strong, hands-on experience in the heavy commercial vehicle industry (non-negotiable)
• Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Automotive Engineering, Diesel Mechanics or a related discipline
• Demonstrated knowledge of HCV maintenance, repair methods and fleet operations
• Extensive experience in the heavy commercial vehicle, fleet management, transport or maintenance industry
• Current driver's licence and willingness to obtain, at minimum, an HR licence
• Able to travel intrastate about once a week and interstate 2-3 times per year
