Handyperson (Full-Time & Casual) – AVANI Cypress Lakes Resort

About the role

AVANI Cypress Lakes Resort is looking for proactive and reliable Handypersons for full-time and casual positions. The role keeps the resort well presented, safe and welcoming for guests and team members, covering guest rooms, public areas, resort facilities and back-of-house areas. A flexible roster across seven days, including weekends and public holidays, is available.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and resort facilities
• Complete painting, patching and minor refurbishment works as required
• Oversee and support external contractors when needed
• Implement and maintain the property's preventative maintenance program
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational issues
• Keep accurate records of daily tasks, maintenance requests and service schedules
• Work safely and in line with company policies and procedures

Required profile

• Previous hands-on experience in building, facilities or property maintenance (12 months preferred but not essential)
• Previous painting experience highly regarded
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Working rights within Australia or New Zealand only
