Guest Service Agent - Reservations

About the role

Elysium Noosa Resort, a luxury property on the Sunshine Coast, is looking for a part-time Guest Service Agent for its Reservations function. The role covers answering reservation requests, recording bookings and supporting the front office, with immediate commencement and availability for 7-day roster coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Promptly answer all reservation requests and record them accurately
• Maintain open, two-way communication between the Front Office and Reservations Office
• Complete daily duties such as correspondence and reports
• Follow emergency communication procedures so that media enquiries are answered only by the nominated spokesperson
• Bring payment issues to the attention of the Reservations Supervisor and Financial Controller
• Receive and file Authority Forms for all chargeback bookings
• Manage no-show bookings in line with the hotel cancellation policy
• Understand group booking transactions and promote upselling of hotel services
• Follow Elysium Resort Noosa brand standards to comply with LQA audits
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager

Required profile

• Customer service experience
• Understanding of competitors
• Ability to multi-task and work across several areas of the Front Office department

Required skills

• Exposure to reservation systems (Opera preferred)
• Open driver's licence
