Group Credit Structuring Manager (Commercial Banking)

About the role

The Group Credit Structuring (Commercial Banking) role works with domestic small to medium-sized enterprises on commercial facilities of $1.5m to $20m originated by Commercial Banking. Two positions are available in Brisbane and Sydney. The role covers credit monitoring, reporting, policy implementation, operational risk and guidance to Risk teams and Business Bankers.

Key responsibilities

• Engage directly with business customers facing financial difficulty, understanding their changed circumstances and assessing their financial and commercial position.
• Conduct robust financial and credit analysis to identify realistic options.
• Develop and execute customer strategies across rehabilitation, turnaround, financial restructuring and, where appropriate, insolvency or exit.
• Lead sensitive and challenging customer and stakeholder negotiations.
• Exercise sound credit judgement in complex, evolving situations.
• Own agreed strategies from decision through to execution, adapting the approach as circumstances change.
• Balance customer outcomes with credit risk, commercial, regulatory and compliance considerations.
• Provide credit monitoring, reporting, policy implementation and guidance to Risk teams and business partners.
• Share insights, influence stakeholders and challenge thinking to improve customer and risk outcomes.

Required profile

• Experienced credit, banking, restructuring or insolvency professional combining strong analytical capability with commercial judgement.
• Demonstrated experience in business or commercial credit, relationship banking, restructuring or insolvency.
• Experience managing customer relationships, preferably including customers needing turnaround, financial assistance or restructuring.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and confidently, verbally and in writing.
