Grounds & Maintenance Attendant

About the role

NRMA Parks & Resorts, part of the NRMA Group, runs holiday accommodation ranging from campsites to luxury resorts, including a property in Strahan, Tasmania with 132 guest rooms and four food and beverage outlets. This full-time role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and keeps the property running smoothly; staff accommodation is available.

Key responsibilities

• Tackle incidental maintenance repairs across rooms, amenities and facilities
• Deliver friendly, on-the-spot customer service for in-room fixes
• Work on building projects, major repairs, renovations and mechanical tasks, from painting and basic plumbing to hardware replacements
• Keep the grounds and gardens looking their best
• Work weekends as required

Required profile

• Reputation for good customer service and the ability to engage with guests
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Ability to follow directions and work independently under pressure
• Proven property maintenance experience and confidence with power tools
• Solid knowledge of safe working procedures
• Hands-on attitude, energy, enthusiasm and a reasonable level of fitness

Required skills

• Medium rigid truck licence (highly desirable)
• Forklift licence (highly desirable)
