Ground Crew - Cruise Whitsundays

About the role

Cruise Whitsundays, part of Journey Beyond, is the largest marine-based tour and transport provider in the Whitsundays, operating 10 air-conditioned vessels, a sailing catamaran, the underwater accommodation Reefsuites and a Reefsleep glamping experience. It is looking for a casual member of its Grounds Crew team to help deliver exceptional guest experiences. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and maintain a professional presentation.
• Manage the efficient movement of luggage and freight.
• Maintain accurate inventory through ordering, receiving and counting.
• Assist the vessel crew with loading and unloading freight, luggage and guests.
• Keep clear communication with the fleet and the Port of Airlie via radio.
• Aid the reservations team with enquiries and check-ins, including issuing tickets through CustomLinc.
• Keep the work area clean and follow operational procedures and WHS requirements.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar customer service role; previous porter or reservations experience is advantageous.
• Experience in warehouse and procurement is highly advantageous.
• Valid manual driver's licence and own transport to and from Shute Harbour.
• First aid qualification is highly desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and general computer-based administrative tasks.
• Confidence with technology and communication devices.
• Good written and spoken communication, attention to detail and problem-solving.
