Grants Lead – Manage Impactful Grants Program

About the role

The Grants Lead will oversee the operational delivery of a high‑impact grants program, ensuring effective administration, compliance and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Grants Manager, you will lead a small team and work closely with community stakeholders across the Northern Territory.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the administration and delivery of the grants program, including assessment, agreements, monitoring, compliance and evaluation.
• Provide operational leadership to Grants Officers, managing workloads, training and mentoring.
• Manage and improve grants systems, processes and procedures to support efficient decision‑making.
• Ensure accurate reporting, governance and compliance with relevant frameworks.
• Engage with stakeholders and support applicants throughout the grants process.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years experience managing grants programs and grants management systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading a team and handling complex matters.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Experience managing contracts across the lifecycle with financial accountability and probity.
• Understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people and communities in the Northern Territory.
