Graduate Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Fyfe's Energy & Resources Engineering Division delivers specialist mining, energy, hydrogen and renewable energy projects across Australia, including process plant modifications, flowlines, gas transmission pipelines, hydrogen infrastructure and renewable energy developments. It is recruiting final-year Mechanical Engineering students graduating at the end of the year and recent graduates to join its Melbourne-based Graduate Development Program, where you will work alongside experienced engineers on real projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering design documents
• Carry out engineering calculations and datasheets
• Perform equipment sizing and selection
• Conduct piping stress analysis
• Engineer skid-based equipment and pipeline engineering
• Work on integrity engineering
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to deliver complex projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, graduating at the end of the year or completed within the last two years
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical, problem-solving and technical report-writing abilities
• Commitment to high-quality work and client outcomes
• Genuine interest in the energy, resources, hydrogen and renewable energy sectors
• Full Australian working rights and residence in Australia; agency applications are not accepted
