Graduate Geotechnical Engineer – Brisbane

About the role

GHD's Geotechnical Engineering team in Brisbane is looking for a graduate in 2027. The role suits someone with a degree in Civil Engineering who wants to work on a wide variety of projects across Queensland and beyond. The two-year Graduate Development Program gives new consultants a smooth start, with support from managers and mentors and collaboration with peers across disciplines and with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out site-based geotechnical investigations across Queensland, working with the Contamination, Geophysics and Hydrogeology teams
• Plan, coordinate and report on investigations in the office
• Develop geotechnical models based on literature reviews and investigation results
• Contribute to multidisciplinary infrastructure projects with other GHD teams
• Use software and tools to perform analysis and modelling
• Help prepare technical reports, drawings and specifications
• Keep up with industry standards, best practice and emerging trends

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Interest in field work on a range of projects across Queensland and beyond
