Graduate Developer

About the role

Join Downer’s Business As Usual (BAU) applications support team as a Graduate Developer. You will help maintain enterprise applications, resolve incidents, and deliver small enhancements that keep essential services running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide BAU application support, incident resolution and troubleshooting.
• Perform break‑fix activities across business applications and integrations.
• Develop and implement minor enhancements and short development tasks (typically under two days).
• Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database updates.
• Assist in supporting and troubleshooting APIs and system integrations.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Relevant internship, university project or personal portfolio work.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, SQL Server, REST APIs and GitHub.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and an understanding of CI/CD concepts.
• Some exposure to Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and commitment to high‑quality outcomes.
