Grader Operator – Iron Bridge Mine (FIFO)

About the role

Thiess is seeking a Grader Operator to join its Production Mining Team at the Iron Bridge Mine on a FIFO basis. The role offers a permanent full‑time position with a 2:2 roster (7 days on, 7 days off, 14 days rest) and opportunities for development and upskilling.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CAT 16 and 24M graders efficiently, safely, and competently to maximise output.
• Comply with Thiess policies, procedures and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Follow instructions from the Mining Supervisor and maintain floor levels.
• Minimise dilution and achieve design parameters within tolerances.
• Maintain stockpiles, dumps and haul roads to ensure safe and efficient flow.
• Drive and move material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads.
• Set and maintain high housekeeping standards and perform pre‑start checks.

Required profile

• Strong mining operational experience, preferably 3‑5 years with CAT 16 & 24M graders.
• Ability to maintain pit floors and bunds in a production environment.
• Sound knowledge of ore mark‑ups and pit configuration.
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
