Governance Risk Compliance Manager

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Manager in its Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team in Sydney. You will advise clients across industries such as financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and technology on complex regulatory requirements, helping them build robust frameworks that protect and strengthen their operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple projects at once, aligned with organisational goals and regulatory requirements
• Plan, test, review and report on large, complex client engagements focused on governance, risk and compliance
• Design, implement and deliver digitally enabled assurance, compliance, regulatory and risk management frameworks
• Develop risk management strategies that improve processes and controls
• Identify areas for risk assessment and process improvement by understanding client strategy, objectives, control frameworks and regulatory environments
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and with clients on transformation programs
• Build strong team relationships, coach and mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative environment

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management and research and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and adaptable approach to a dynamic risk and regulatory landscape
• Experience in governance, risk management and compliance, especially leading large transformation projects (preferred but not essential)
• Demonstrated leadership across projects of various scales
• Familiarity with risk management strategies in complex regulatory frameworks
