Global Trade Specialist

About the role

Raytheon Australia is seeking a Global Trade Specialist to join its Global Trade Operations team, reporting to the Global Trade Operations Manager. The role delivers specialist global trade advice and support to operational activities and growth opportunities, supporting Australia's defence mission and the Australian Defence Force. It is a hybrid position based in Cannon Hill, Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Global Trade Operations team in implementing the operational plan and achieving functional goals and objectives.
• Identify and implement improvements to program service delivery performance and productivity.
• Work within defined policy to support process and system improvement and better use of technology.
• Support the growth and development of team members and build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external auditors, regulators, customers, suppliers and business partners.
• Deliver initiatives on agreed schedules, budgets and resourcing, and maintain records for accurate performance metrics and reporting.
• Facilitate lessons learned across multiple programs and ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing export controls across complex programs in a dispersed team.
• Knowledge of global trade laws and regulations, including U.S. FMS, ITAR, EAR, the Australian Defence Trade Controls Act, export licensing requirements and best practices for compliance.
• Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law or a related discipline is desirable but not mandatory.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 security clearance as needed.
