GIS Specialist

About the role

The GIS Specialist will manage and maintain the Steelmaking Coal Geographic Information System (GIS) and spatial data environment, supporting operational, regulatory, environmental and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online environments.
• Manage portal content, hosted feature layers, web maps and other services.
• Maintain enterprise geodatabases and spatial datasets to ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain web‑based GIS applications to support business processes.
• Develop GIS governance standards and procedures.
• Create maps, aerial photography and other spatial data as required.
• Ensure compliance with GIS standards for data accessibility, quality and currency.
• Provide technical guidance and training to GIS users.

Required profile

• Degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Spatial Science, IT or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise Geodatabases, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS tools/APIs.
