Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a mid‑level Geotechnical Engineer to join its Ground & Underground team in Sydney. You will work on multidisciplinary transport, water, dam and energy projects, contributing from feasibility through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide geotechnical design and analysis across feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction phases.
• Manage small to medium geotechnical investigations and deliver high‑quality reports.
• Use analysis tools such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio and Rocscience.
• Support client proposals, tenders and business development activities.
• Promote health and safety culture and maintain industry knowledge.

Required profile

• 6+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Willingness to apply for CPEng with Engineers Australia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset and commercial awareness.

Required skills

• Geotechnical design and reporting.
• Intermediate analysis using PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
