General Surgery Registrar (6‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

This 6‑month full‑time position is for a Registrar in General Surgery within a regional health service in New South Wales. You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care to older surgical patients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform medical assessment and management of geriatric surgical patients.
• Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals and senior surgeons in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Contribute to comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Support safe and effective discharge planning and coordinate follow‑up care.
• Participate in ongoing clinical reviews and patient management discussions.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
