General Medicine Registrar – RACP Accredited Training

About the role

Sante Recruitment is seeking General Medicine Registrars for Queensland's largest regional hospital, a major referral centre in Rockhampton serving more than 230,000 people. The role sits within an RACP-accredited training environment, offering broad clinical experience alongside experienced physicians, whether you are an Australian trainee or an International Medical Graduate following the RACP pathway.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage a diverse range of acute medical conditions
• Take part in consultant-led ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Develop clinical and procedural skills in a supportive teaching environment
• Work alongside experienced general physicians and subspecialists
• Supervise resident medical officers and medical students where appropriate
• Work after hours and on call
• Contribute to quality improvement, education and research activities

Required profile

• Applicants must meet one of the following: hold or be eligible for AHPRA registration; have at least 12 months of recent internal or general medicine experience; be enrolled in the RACP Physician Training Program
• International Medical Graduates eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand)
• International Medical Graduates with a confirmed RACP Specialist Pathway interview date
• International Medical Graduates assessed by RACP as partially or substantially comparable
