General Manager

About the role

Pioneer Water Tanks is seeking an experienced, hands‑on General Manager to lead the Bellevue office. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role combines strategic oversight with day‑to‑day operational management in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies to exceed revenue and profit targets.
• Drive balance‑sheet performance, focusing on debtor and stock control.
• Prepare short‑ and long‑term business plans and allocate resources to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to implement commercial initiatives.
• Review and improve manufacturing systems, increasing efficiency and safety.
• Maintain just‑in‑time production schedules and oversee procurement, manufacturing, and construction.
• Manage a high‑performing dealer network across Australia and global markets.
• Champion company culture aligned with Ahrens Group values and mentor future leaders.
• Partner with HR to recruit and retain skilled staff.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification or extensive hands‑on experience in business management.
• Proven experience in a senior role within a manufacturing or agriculture setting.
• Strong financial acumen and budget discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership in health and safety compliance.
