General Management Director

About the role

The General Management Director will report to the Chief Business Officer for APAC, Middle East and Latin America and will be responsible for leading SodaStream’s Australian business. This senior role combines strategic planning, P&L ownership and hands‑on leadership of a cross‑functional team in a fast‑paced, matrix environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall P&L performance, driving revenue growth and profitable margins.
• Define and execute the Australian business strategy, aligning commercial, sales, marketing and operational plans.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring organisational effectiveness through process improvement and innovative initiatives.
• Monitor and analyse daily, monthly and quarterly performance reports to guide decision‑making.
• Lead local sales, marketing and commercial capabilities while finance, HR and supply‑chain report dotted‑line to the role.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing teams, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and a culture of inclusion.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external partners and support cross‑functional projects that enhance overall business performance.
• Attract, retain and develop talent to position SodaStream as an employer of choice in Australia.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a comparable senior general‑management role, managing a market of similar scale.
• Track record of launching initiatives that generate disproportionate business growth.
• Experience working within global organisations, preferably in FMCG or home‑appliance retail.
• Deep understanding of the Australian consumer market and retail environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a marketing and sales background.
• Demonstrated integrity, ethical behaviour and a results‑driven mindset.
