Garment Technician – Own Brand

About the role

The Iconic is seeking a Garment Technician to join its Own Brand team in Sydney. You will work closely with designers, suppliers in China and internal teams to create tech packs, drive fit sessions and ensure high‑quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Create initial tech packs with detailed construction instructions, measurements and fabric requirements.
• Measure garments, provide fit feedback and ensure suppliers meet The Iconic’s fit and make standards.
• Organise and lead fit sessions, support designers with fabric and construction expertise, and liaise daily with Chinese suppliers on fit, re‑fits, fabrics and grading.
• Approve fabric test reports, meet CP deadlines and sign off final bulk garment inspections.
• Analyse high‑return styles to continuously improve fit, quality and production efficiency.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in a similar garment‑tech role, preferably fast‑fashion.
• Tertiary education in design, pattern making or grading.
• Strong knowledge of garment production processes, pattern making, fit, quality control and fabric testing.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
