Funeral Arranger / Conductor

About the role

Mayday Recruitment is recruiting, on behalf of a funeral services provider, a Funeral Arranger/Conductor for its Kelmscott team. The role suits someone who enjoys helping people, bringing calm to difficult situations and delivering exceptional service. Full training and support are provided, so previous funeral industry experience is not essential; candidates from hospitality, events, aged care, community services, healthcare, retail or customer service are encouraged to apply. The position is based in Kelmscott, with occasional work at nearby locations.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with families and listen carefully to their wishes
• Help families plan and coordinate meaningful funeral services
• Conduct funeral services with professionalism, warmth and respect
• Be a calm and reassuring presence for families throughout the process
• Work respectfully and professionally around deceased persons
• Coordinate the details behind each service so everything runs smoothly
• Work with colleagues, clergy, celebrants and other service providers
• Support the day-to-day operations of the Kelmscott location
• Occasionally assist at nearby locations
• Maintain high standards of care, presentation, safety and compliance

• Comfortable working with deceased persons and supporting grieving families
• Highly organised and adaptable to different families, cultures and beliefs

• Willing to travel to nearby locations when required
• Current unrestricted driver's licence
