Full‑time Cardiac/Vascular Scrub & Scout RN

About the role

Provide exceptional patient‑centred care to patients undergoing complex cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic or neurosurgical procedures at The Mater Hospital, North Sydney. Work as a Scrub or Scout RN within a multidisciplinary operating theatre team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, VMOs and allied health professionals during surgeries.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, visitors, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Uphold patient and staff confidentiality and comply with Department of Health, WHS and infection‑control standards.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, respect and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration and Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Current or recent experience in cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and/or neurosurgical scrub/scout roles.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and commitment to patient‑centred care.
