About the role

Haven Coffee is seeking an experienced Chef to lead the kitchen of its new Barangaroo café in Sydney. This full‑time position offers the chance to shape the menu, manage kitchen operations, and contribute to a vibrant, community‑focused café.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and develop menus while controlling food costs and portion sizes.
• Prepare and cook dishes with precision, ensuring high quality and presentation.
• Train and support kitchen staff on prep, cooking techniques, and food safety.
• Oversee stock ordering, inventory management, and daily kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with front‑of‑house to ensure smooth service and compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of full‑time experience in a similar chef role.
• Relevant culinary diploma or qualification.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team‑management abilities.
• Passion for food innovation in a fast‑paced café environment.
