Full Stack Developer – React & Python for AI‑enabled Platform

About the role

Join a specialist underwriting business that is building a brand‑new, AI‑enabled policy and underwriting platform from scratch. This is a hands‑on full‑stack position where you will work directly with users to translate workflow needs into functional features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement front‑end features using React, ensuring responsive and maintainable UI.
• Develop back‑end services, APIs and data‑handling logic in Python.
• Collaborate with internal users to understand underwriting workflows and turn them into product features.
• Support AI‑driven use cases such as document processing, data extraction and workflow automation.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and contribute to automated testing, regression coverage and CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain and improve the platform after release, handling fixes, refinements and BAU enhancements.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong expertise in React and Python for building UI and back‑end services.
• Experience with Docker and modern development practices.
• Good understanding of automated testing and CI/CD.
• Comfortable working iteratively, handling ambiguity and asking clarifying questions.
• Product‑mindset focused on solving real business problems.
• Experience in insurance or other regulated sectors is a plus, but not mandatory.
