Frontend Software Engineer – Live Streaming

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Frontend Software Engineer to help build and optimise TikTok LIVE’s real‑time, high‑performance streaming infrastructure. You will work across web, mobile and desktop platforms, shaping the user‑facing experience for millions of creators and viewers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement front‑end components for the TikTok LIVE ecosystem, supporting diverse platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers, back‑end engineers and UI/UX designers to turn wireframes into responsive, visually engaging interfaces.
• Stay current with front‑end trends, propose innovative solutions, and optimise applications for performance and user experience.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, partnering with QA to ensure robust, high‑quality code.
• Contribute to engineering infrastructure tools and platforms that improve team efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong foundation in computer science and high proficiency in front‑end development.
• Experience delivering large‑scale projects and working with responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility, and performance optimisation.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or AI‑powered IDE plugins.

Required skills

• React, Angular, or Vue.js (at least one).
• React Native, Flutter, or similar cross‑platform frameworks.
• Node.js for full‑stack development.
• Three.js, WebGL for interactive rendering.
• AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, AI‑powered IDE plugins).
