About the role

Industry Beans is an award-winning specialty coffee brand with wholesale and eCommerce operations supported by seven hospitality and retail venues across Australia. It is looking for casual Front of House Team Members for its Fitzroy venue. The role suits people seeking an engaging position in hospitality, with availability of 10 to 15 hours including Fridays and weekends, and no holiday requirements during Christmas and New Year.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat customers
• Communicate the food and coffee menus in detail, ensuring correct pairings and upselling orders
• Wait on tables with clear communication, good sequencing of service and attentive body language
• Clear tables and follow up to deliver an engaging table service experience
• Carry out opening and closing duties
• Assist with functions

Required profile

• Prior service experience in a café or restaurant with a valid RSA
• Strong work ethic and advanced waiting ability
• Passion for specialty coffee, innovative food and hospitality
• Able to work well in a team and with a friendly, customer-engaging personality
• Good availability, including weekends and weekdays
