Freelance Translator – English to Afrikaans

About the role
IQVIA is seeking freelance translators to convert life‑sciences content from English into Afrikaans. You will join a global community of linguists, working on clinical trial documents and other scientific materials for a leading industry player.
Key responsibilities
- Translate, review and edit English source texts into accurate Afrikaans versions, ensuring scientific terminology is correctly rendered.
- Deliver translations within tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
Required profile
- Native fluency in Afrikaans (spoken and written) and fluency in English.
- At least 1 year of experience translating life‑sciences content, with documented experience in clinical trial documents.
- University degree in translation or linguistics with ≥2 years of translation experience, OR no degree with ≥5 years of translation experience.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with translation management systems.
- Experience using CAT (Computer‑Assisted Translation) tools.
