Freelance Paid Media Strategist (Google & Meta)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Paid Media Strategist to join an Australia‑based digital marketing agency on a part‑time, remote basis. The role focuses on managing and optimizing Google Ads and Meta Ads, developing acquisition strategies, and turning campaign data into clear client recommendations while leveraging AI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise paid campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads.
• Develop paid acquisition strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Analyse performance data, identify optimisation opportunities and adjust targeting, budgets, bidding and creative testing.
• Review AI‑generated insights from tools such as Claude, Codex or ChatGPT and determine actionable steps.
• Communicate strategy, performance and optimisation recommendations directly to clients.
• Collaborate with analytics, tracking and dashboard specialists.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in paid media or performance marketing.
• Hands‑on experience managing both Google Ads and Meta Ads with budgets of roughly AUD 20K+ per month.
• Proven ability to work directly with clients and provide strategic recommendations.
• Comfortable analysing campaign data and independently deciding next steps.
