Freelance Material Scientist (Python) – AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Material Scientist with strong Python skills to help design and evaluate AI-driven engineering problems. This project‑based role supports leading tech companies in testing and improving AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design original material engineering problems that simulate real‑world workflows.
• Create Python‑based problem sets that require numerical methods, iterative solutions, or optimization.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and reflect practical engineering constraints.
• Base problem scenarios on real research challenges or industry applications.
• Verify solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Material Science or a related engineering field.
• 2+ years of professional, research, or teaching experience in material engineering.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
• Ability to work independently on part‑time, project‑based tasks.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Numerical libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, or domain‑specific engineering libraries.
• Experience with data analysis tools like Stata (optional).
