FP&A Analyst – Month End Close and Board Packs

About the role

A listed technology business in the language and accessibility space is hiring an analyst-level FP&A professional for a Sydney hybrid position. The finance team partners closely with operations and senior leaders in a fast-moving commercial environment. The role covers month end close, board reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and business partnering.

Key responsibilities

• Drive timely month end close and management reporting packs
• Prepare board materials and supporting financial analysis for internal stakeholders
• Build and maintain budgets and forecasts, including variance and trend analysis
• Partner with senior leaders and operations on performance and business cases
• Support scenario modelling and process improvement across reporting and accounting
• Assist statutory accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and group month end
• Liaise on tax submissions and AP, payroll and AR close support as required
• Contribute to half year and full year audit and listed entity reporting processes

Required profile

• Analyst-level FP&A professional with strong month end, board pack and forecasting experience, ideally from a media or technology background
• Approximately 3 or more years post qualification in management accounting, financial reporting, business partnering or audit
• Hands-on month end close, financial reporting and variance analysis
• Clear communicator comfortable partnering with non-financial stakeholders
• Autonomous operator who thrives in a small team and cross-time-zone collaboration

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (essential)
• SAP proficiency highly regarded
