Formwork Carpenter

About the role

Based in Adelaide, South Australia, the Formwork Carpenter will support the delivery of civil construction projects by constructing, installing and dismantling formwork systems. You will work alongside experienced site teams, ensuring all work meets project specifications, drawings and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, install and dismantle formwork for concrete structures in line with drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut, assemble and position timber, plywood and other formwork materials.
• Assist with formwork for footings, slabs, walls, columns, beams and other civil structures.
• Ensure formwork is aligned, level, braced and secured before concrete placement.
• Collaborate with site supervisors, concreters, steel fixers and other personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area and follow all site safety procedures.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent formwork experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Formwork Carpenter on civil or commercial projects.
• Current General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Reliable driver’s licence and transport are desirable.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of formwork systems and safe work practices.
• Proficiency with carpentry tools, equipment and measuring instruments.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
