Food & Beverage Team Leader

About the role

Avani Cypress Lakes Resort is looking for an enthusiastic, service-driven Food & Beverage Team Leader to join its team on a full-time basis. The role supports the smooth running of the resort's food and beverage outlets and leads a small team to deliver exceptional guest experiences across breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the F&B team to deliver professional, efficient and high-quality service.
• Assist with taking guest orders accurately and accommodating guest preferences.
• Demonstrate menu knowledge and recommend food and beverage options to guests.
• Oversee the serving of food and beverages, maintaining professional standards and guest satisfaction.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and coach and mentor team members.
• Assist with rostering, shift coordination and workflow planning.
• Ensure compliance with RSA, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
• Support management with reporting, stock management and service improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching or mentoring a team in a hospitality environment.
• Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Attendant, Waiter/Waitress or Bartender.
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification.
• Warm, approachable demeanour, proven ability to deliver consistent high-quality guest service, and strong communication skills.
• Reliability and flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Working rights within Australia or New Zealand.

Shift details and pay

• Breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts on a rotating roster Monday through Sunday; split shifts may be required.
• Hourly rates (excluding superannuation): Monday to Friday $31.30, Saturday $39.13, Sunday $46.95.
