Food & Beverage Assistant Manager

About the role

Hotel Woolstore 1888, a heritage hotel in Pyrmont, Sydney, is looking for a full-time Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to take an active part in the day-to-day running of its Spanish tapas and wine bar, PERCY. The role sits close to the management team, helping lead the team, keep service standards high and create a memorable experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily food and beverage operations and ensure consistently high service standards.
• Lead, support and motivate the team to deliver warm and memorable guest experiences.
• Take an active role during dinner service, with strong front-of-house and bar skills.
• Coordinate closely with kitchen, bar and front-of-house teams for smooth service.
• Assist with team training, onboarding, rostering and other operational requirements.
• Work across hotel departments and support other areas of the operation when needed.
• Manage guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Required profile

• Previous food and beverage supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in a hotel, restaurant or high-volume hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of hotel operations and how departments work together.
• Strong front-of-house and bar service skills, confident during busy dinner service.
• A genuine passion for food, beverage and guest experiences.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
