Flutter Developer (Mobile Full Stack) – Sydney

About the role

We are a fast‑growing health‑tech startup building an AI‑powered health app that helps users understand and manage their wellbeing. As a Flutter Developer you will join a small, close‑knit team and own the end‑to‑end delivery of mobile features while also contributing to the backend services that power them.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship new features in the Flutter mobile app, focusing on smooth animation and interaction.
• Create and maintain a shared component and theming system to ensure visual consistency across the app and internal tools.
• Design, build, and support backend services and APIs that enable mobile functionality.
• Collaborate on AI‑driven health features, ensuring accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and improve performance across the mobile app and backend, and keep the codebase well‑documented and reviewed.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience building mobile and full‑stack products.
• Strong ownership mindset – you can take a feature from UI design through to backend implementation.
• Comfortable working in a small, fast‑moving team where priorities can shift quickly.
• Experience in startups, digital health, or AI‑first consumer apps is a plus, but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Flutter (or React Native) with a focus on responsive, performant UI and detailed animation.
• Backend development experience sufficient to work on services and APIs.
• Exposure to AI concepts or a strong willingness to learn on the job.
