Floor Manager (Maternity Cover) - 3 Months Contract

About the role

COS, part of the H&M Group, is hiring a Floor Manager in Armadale, Melbourne for a 3-month maternity cover contract of 38 hours per week. The role leads a team of Sales Advisors and sets the tone for a welcoming, inspiring store that delivers excellent customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service through expert styling advice, strong product knowledge and an engaging store experience.
• Analyse sales data and work with the Store Manager to maximise department performance.
• Lead and motivate Sales Advisors to meet service and presentation standards.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members, and identify future talent for development plans.
• Oversee daily store operations and act as a brand ambassador.
• Step into the role of Store Manager when required.

Required profile

• Customer-focused, with a genuine interest in the products offered.
• Eager to learn, open to feedback and seeking development opportunities.
• Excellent communication, clear and empathetic with customers and team members.
• Proven ability to organise and motivate teams in fast-paced environments.
• Experienced in coaching and giving constructive feedback.
• Understands key retail KPIs and their use in driving performance.
• Flexible and reliable, comfortable working varied hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• English language skills to communicate with customers and internal stakeholders.
