Fleet Portfolio Specialist

About the role

CGU, part of Insurance Australia Group (IAG), is recruiting a Fleet Portfolio Specialist for a 9-month maximum-term full-time role. The position sits in a major transformation program for Fleet insurance, working alongside portfolio, product and technology teams to turn strategy into practical solutions. The role is based in multiple locations across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the Fleet portfolio in the transformation program, giving expert underwriting guidance and supporting design and implementation decisions.
• Turn business requirements into underwriting, product and portfolio solutions that balance customer outcomes, growth and profitability.
• Develop and refine portfolio deliverables such as underwriting rules, authority frameworks, coverage terms and decision requirements.
• Work with technology teams, business analysts and subject matter experts to bring product designs to life.
• Influence stakeholders with clear recommendations and technical insight on portfolio and underwriting matters.
• Assess trade-offs across product, pricing and underwriting to align with portfolio ambitions.

Required profile

• Strong Fleet underwriting or portfolio management experience in the insurance industry.
• Experience translating underwriting knowledge into practical business or program solutions.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Commercial thinking and strong communication skills.
