Fleet Manager

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist Logistics Fleet Management professional to join its Defence logistics team in Melbourne. The role involves providing specialist logistics support, fleet management expertise and leadership across complex Defence programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support logistics and fleet management activities across Defence programs.
• Analyse logistics data and develop plans to improve supply chain, inventory and distribution performance.
• Coordinate and manage monthly reporting requirements in line with customer timeframes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Defence stakeholders and program partners.
• Support governance, assurance and workforce management activities, including compliance and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes and service delivery.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Materiel Logistics or equivalent qualifications and/or relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or a related logistics discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting Defence or a comparable technical industry.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience leading, mentoring or supervising personnel.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Defence logistics management systems such as MILIS, LNIDs, NAVALLOW, APLCRATES and AMPS.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
